This relationship is still going strong. “Cheryl’s” mother is a recovering addict with six children. Cheryl has been mentored by Andrea since she was eleven years old. She is now fourteen. The goal for Andrea is to help steer Cheryl through her teenage years.

Make a Donation

KidStart relies on funding from donations, grants and gaming revenue to provide and support a growing group of committed volunteers who are mentoring kids throughout the BC Lower Mainland and now in Victoria and Campbell River.

What your donation makes possible:

Subsidizing the cost of recreational and educational activities for youth and volunteers such as swimming, music lessons, sports, events, crafts, and more.
Training for volunteers on drug use, recognizing signs of abuse, suicide, conflict resolution, how to talk to kids about sex etc
Professional Coordinator of Volunteers who support more than 50 volunteers each.
Recruiting campaigns to attract more volunteers in Metro Vancouver, Victoria and Campbell River.
Expansion of the KidStart program to Victoria and Campbell River
