Sometimes I feel tired (like tonight) and would rather just go do my own thing. I drag my feet to Cheryls because I agreed to meet her once a week. I get to the door and she is big smiles, excited to go for dinner and a swim. I forget my tiredness, remember what a great kid she is, and we are off for the evening! This relationship is still going strong. Cheryls mother is a recovering addict with six children. Cheryl has been mentored by Andrea since she was eleven years old. She is now fourteen. The goal for Andrea is to help steer Cheryl through her teenage years. |
